Using Kudozi with Zoom

Connect your Zoom account and Kudozi reads your recorded coaching calls to find the moments where clients said something worth showing. Here's how it works, what it accesses, and how to disconnect.

What the Zoom connection does

Kudozi helps coaches turn genuine client praise into public proof. When you connect Zoom, Kudozi can list your Zoom cloud recordings and read their transcripts to find spontaneous testimonials — the specific moments a client described a result or a shift in their own words. Everything it finds goes into your private review queue. Nothing is ever published without your approval.

What you need

  • A Zoom account on a plan that includes cloud recording and audio transcription.
  • Calls recorded to the Zoom cloud (not local recordings) with transcription enabled, so a transcript exists to read.

Kudozi only ever reads calls recorded on your own account. Because Zoom provides transcripts to the meeting host, this works for calls you host.

How to connect

  • Open Recordings in your Kudozi studio and switch to the Zoom tab.
  • Select Connect with Zoom. You'll be taken to Zoom to review the access Kudozi requests and approve it.
  • After you approve, Zoom returns you to Kudozi and your recent cloud recordings appear.

How to find testimonials

  • On any recording with a transcript, choose Find testimonials to process that single call, or Sweep to process your recent recordings in a batch.
  • Kudozi reads each transcript and adds the moments it finds to your Review queue, where you keep the ones worth sharing and set the rest aside.
  • Approved moments live in your Proof Vault, ready to publish to your showcase or embed on your site.

What Kudozi accesses

Kudozi requests two read-only Zoom permissions, and nothing more:

  • View your recordings (cloud_recording:read:list_user_recordings) — to list your cloud recordings so you can choose which to process.
  • View recording files (cloud_recording:read:list_recording_files) — to read the transcript file for a recording you choose.

Kudozi cannot start, join, or change your meetings, cannot delete or modify your recordings, and cannot access anything beyond your recordings and their transcript files.

How your call data is handled

Kudozi never stores your Zoom transcripts or recordings. When you process a call, Kudozi reads its transcript live, in memory, only to extract candidate testimonials — then discards it. Zoom remains the system of record for your calls.

The only thing Kudozi keeps is the short testimonial moments it surfaces for your review, so you can approve or discard them. Approved moments are yours to publish or delete at any time.

How to disconnect

  • In Kudozi, open Recordings → Zoom and choose Disconnect. Kudozi immediately deletes the access tokens it holds for your account and stops reading your recordings.
  • You can also revoke access from Zoom directly: in the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage → Added Apps, find Kudozi, and select Remove.

Disconnecting stops all access to your Zoom recordings. Because Kudozi never stored your transcripts, there is nothing further to purge on the call side. Any testimonial moments you already approved remain in your account until you delete them.
